There were puppies to pat, plants and produce to purchase and plenty of people at Made ‘n’ Grown on Saturday 10 May 2025, where members of the Cobbora Solar and BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) Project met with market-goers.
As the early morning chill made way for a sunny Autumn day, visitors made their way to the stand to chat about the project, expressing interest in future community benefits, procurement opportunities, employment pathways and the agrisolar strategy.
We also discussed the pending name change of the project, which has been greatly influenced by community need, along with the project’s Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), which will soon go on public exhibition.
Further consultation will be held at this time across the region, as part of our commitment to growing strong and lasting relationships with residents. Feedback from community engagement helps to shape our project and ensure its future presence in the local landscape.
