Our proposed Cobbora solar project and battery energy storage system (BESS) has been identified by the Australian Government as a priority renewable energy project for the nation.
It is included on the Federal Government’s inaugural National Renewable Energy Priority List, placing it among 56 priority projects nation-wide.
Projects on the list stand to gain significant regulatory support under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation (EPBC) Act as they navigate the planning and approvals process across Australia.
The Priority List was created by the Commonwealth Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) in collaboration with each state and territory through the Energy and Climate Change Ministerial Council.
Selection criteria was based on project capacity and capability and support will be provided according to need.
Cobbora Solar Farm will provide clean energy for NSW and generate enough power for 280,000 homes.
