EIS on Public Exhibition in September-October 2025

The EIS went on public exhibition from 3 September to 1 October 2025. All submissions received during the exhibition period will receive a response from Pacific Partnerships. DPHI will consider submissions and responses when determining the Project. Pacific Partnerships will inform the community once the Project is determined. More information on the planning approval process including the Secretary's Environmental Assessment Requirements (SEARs) and other planning documentation and submissions can be found on the NSW Government Major Projects portal here.

EIS assessments complete

The Cobbora Solar and BESS Environmental Impact Statement was lodged in March 2025 with the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI) to receive planning approval for the Project.  

We have undertaken twelve months of specialist assessments since October 2024 to address the Secretary’s Environmental Assessment Requirements (SEARs) provided by the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI) for the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). The EIS identifies and measures the potential environmental, economic, and social impacts of the Project, and the management measures to avoid or minimise those impacts.  

During development of the EIS, extensive consultation with the community was undertaken. We would like to thank everyone who participated in our October 2024 information sessions in Elong Elong, Dubbo and Dunedoo and/or provided feedback during this time. Our team met with locals who had their say, asked good questions and provided valuable input to our consultation process which was considered during preparation of the EIS.
